About San Morcol Mechanical Contractors, Inc.

San Morcol was founded in Santa Fe, N.M. by Robert (Bob) & JJ Whitted in 1964. Our company name derived from Bob’s work installing gas lines in San Miguel, Mora, and Colfax County. Bob ran San Morcol for many years eventually handing the reigns to his son Robert (Rob) Whitted. With Rob’s knowledge and resources, business flourished through the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s. Rob passed the baton to his grandson Curtis Valdez in 2009. Curtis learned the business from a very young age and had been a natural, gaining valuable insights from his grandfather and great grandfather. He currently holds a MM98, JPG, and LP4 licenses and is certified in fire suppression. Curtis continues moving his business forward with new ideas, technology and continuing education to provide the best services for his clients. Curtis has grown his family business exponentially and continues to successfully run San Morcol today.
